Why not all three? You could organize the squads based not really on a skill so much as a specialization -- reconnaissance, protection, assassinations, etc, and then once choosing those, assign each a color, and then name the squads inner/outer/hidden or whatever. That way each team is very unique.

Also, I think it's probably a good idea to keep the squads to a maximum of five members. This way, you can very easily assign a squad to a team duel (since a maximum of five representatives per team are allowed in team duels).

I think talents is a good idea, and each squad should be maybe 3 or 5 like Teach said, and each squad should have a captain :I

Yeah, exactly, though I'm fairly certain we don't have enough people for that many squads, haha. We could have each color represent the "talent" or job of the squad. Like, say, Crimson for assassinations. Then the inner/outer/hidden could be used to specify the difference between the squads if we end up with more than one for the talent. Or for like...Something else! I can't think of anything right now. As for Icedemonhiro below me there's comment on having a captain, I believe this is a good idea. That way instead of having to alert the whole squad yourself to a job or whatever (I dunno, something) you can just alert the appropriate squad captain and they can alert the rest of the squad. Saves you time, anyways, hahaha.

I am loving the plan we have going here.The Black Lotus in it's own is constantly evolving and starting to gain more talents.Showing we are ready to hit all the bases is good and besides...The G-G for example have their main and branch families.So we can have our hidden/outer/inner squads.Also my own two cents into this idea...

Each colored unit can control a Sento in a certain region and be in charge of it.This is entirely a responsibility of the captain.just a thought.

You could divide them like Ninja Squads... "Fire blossom squad" - which may or may not have any reflection in terms of character skills & preferences, but have "cool" sounding names... Or could you do like the Samurai did... "Eastern Red Squad 1, commanded by...."
